Your kundli is not a single prediction about marriage, money or career. It is a layered Vedic birth chart describing placements, relationships between planets and periods of emphasis.
What does a Janam Kundli contain?
- Lagna or ascendant: the sign rising at birth and the starting point of the houses.
- Navagraha: Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu.
- Twelve signs and houses: the style of each planet and the life area in which it operates.
- Nakshatras and padas: 27 lunar constellations divided into four quarters.
- Dashas and transits: timing frameworks for studying what is more active.
- Divisional charts: charts such as Navamsa (D9), used as additional context.
Why birth time matters
The ascendant changes through the day. A different ascendant changes the house structure, while a small difference can also matter for finer timing and divisional context. If your time is approximate, some interpretations should be treated with additional caution.
What an online kundli should explain
Many calculators produce pages of placements without hierarchy. A useful interpretation connects them. A tenth-house placement cannot be understood from the planet alone: sign, dignity, lordship, aspects, nakshatra and current timing all modify the reading.
Interpretation without fatalism
Traditional language can make a placement sound final: good, bad, auspicious or doomed. A more useful reading asks what a pattern demands, where it has constructive expression and how its meaning changes across context and time.
